Project Urban Living Lab

Project Urban Living Lab (PULL) in Panaji, Goa is India’s first urban living lab. It is a collaborative space for incubating and co-creating solutions to complex challenges. We have been working on challenges around non-motorised transportation, water resilience and data governance.

PULL was established in 2020 by Transitions Research, Oxford Policy Management, and The Resources and Energy Institute (TERI) in partnership with Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited and with the support of the Royal Danish Embassy in India

Monsoon Academy

Every year, in the monsoon season, Transitions Research hosts a Monsoon Academy on Urban Resilience in Goa. The Academy is a platform for professional training, capacity strengthening and co-learning. It is an opportunity for researchers and practitioners to come together to retreat, reflect and share research to inform resilience building actions.

In 2019, our Academy brought 15 researchers and practitioners to unpack emerging climate science and discuss innovative solutions through taught modules, field visits and studio sessions.
